７月１８日～３１日までCBUサマープログラムに２５名の生徒が参加しました。

引率教諭のMarija先生によるリポートを紹介します。

We went to the Getty museum to see modern and historical art. 

At the Dodgers game, we watched Ohtani hit a home run. All the students ate dodger dogs (special hot dogs) and could enjoy the atmosphere and cheering with the local team supporters.

We actually went to California Disney Adventure Park. The students had a full day of rides, shopping, and taking fun pictures.

The UCLA campus tour was very interesting and we could even celebrate one of Eiwa student’s birthdays there with cupcakes made by her host mother. The students had a great time!

Overflow Farms is a local farm that donates everything to the local poor families. Many university students volunteer there. Our students had a great opportunity to volunteer and pick kale, chili peppers, onions, and tomatoes. They also gathered some watermelon, and they could open it and eat it by themselves. They used all the vegetables to make a Californian style salsa and they ate it with chips. It was spicy!!

They joined a special music lesson at CBU and they learned how to play so many different instruments. We also had English classes and a business class.

They got so many gifts from CBU, and one of the students suggested they all wear the T-shirt and take a group photo at the airport. It was such a wonderful idea and all the students were so happy to do it.

「私はCBUサマープログラムに参加して海外の日本と違う文化を知りとても新鮮な経験になりました。CBUで学んだ数々のプログラムやドジャーススタジアムで見た大谷翔平のホームランなど、毎日が想像以上に素晴らしく、多くの出会いや経験は一生の宝物になりました。特にホストファミリーと過ごした時間は一生忘れることのない思い出になりました。」（中3男子）

「初めは他国の環境に馴染めず、言語も違ってコミュニケーションを取ることに苦労しました。早く帰りたいと思ってしまったこともありましたが、時間が経つにつれて楽しいと思えるようになりました。中でもホストファミリーと過ごす時間が好きで、別れる際には泣いてしまいました。他にもディズニーやドジャース観戦などプログラムも充実していて、とても楽しかったです。自分にとって忘れられない二週間になりました。」（高1女子）
